I'm so pleased with the service I received here! Phillip hooked me up when I was in a bind. I needed my work vehicle back by the weekend for traveling the following week and he was able to get it done by Friday afternoon. And at a great price! Highly recommended!

Mgr Will Nobles gets right to the point. Told me how long it's gonna take till someone can look at my vehicle. Once they test drove it and put it on the rack, Will showed me the part that needed replaced. A few hours later they got me fixed up. I learned a couple things about my vehicle, and drove away happy. Called AAMCO a few weeks back in regards to a transmission issue I was having. Wasn't looking to have them repair it just needed to ask a few questions about me repairing mine. I talked to Kevin who was very polite, down to earth and told me what I needed to know (no other shop would) and told me if I have any questions to give him a call. This past weekend while I was repairing my transmission I encountered a problem that I had no way of dealing with without the right tools so I gave Kevin a call. It was on a saturday which they close at 1pm on saturdays (did not know this), explained my problem to Kevin and he told me they would be able to take care of it for me. Kevin stayed past closing time to help me with my issue and had me in and out fast. These guys really know their stuff and are great people to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone and will defiantly be returning to them for any other issues I may have with my car.
Absolutely loved this place! Took my truck in to get the Fuel filter changed and Transmission looked at. I've had similar work done at other shops around town and the wait time and cost was just outrageous! However, this was not the case at Aamco. Shop Manager Kevin guaranteed and delivered same day service and and didn't have any hidden or additional costs. The final damage was spot on the intial quote. Kevin even brought back the old fuel flter to show the wear and tear, which never happens at any other shops. Kevin and crew made my wife and I feel welcomed,had fresh coffee, shop and bathrooms were spotless (which was a plus for the wife!).
Great Service at an affordable price, definitely recommend Aamco for any one looking to get work done. Bottom line is, it's a great shop, I'm happy and will be returing. -Thanks Kevin
My ac compressor was going out so i had it towed to aamco. While i was there i went ahead and got my oil leaks fixed also. Bobby was nothing but helpful in geting my car fixed. He was real straight forward and super easy to talk to. It's been two weeks and my car is running great, I've had nothing but a good experience with them and would recommend them to anyone.
I've had a check engine light come on and found myself at the Honda dealership. They wanted $3500 to replace my transmission. I talked to a friend that recommended I call around and do some research. Bobby at Aamco told me it may not need another transmission. He recommended I bring it to him for a free check. I had nothing to loose. I'm a single mom on a fixed income. I dropped my car off to Bobby, he called me later that afternoon. He said the codes in the computer told him there was some solenoid that needed replaced. He did explain that once they replaced it they would need to recheck to make sure nothing else was wrong. I gave him the go ahead, $289 sounded a lot more affordable. He called me a few hours later and gave me the good news. My car was fixed and ready for me to pick up.
Bobby explained everything so I could understand and was very honest. I will be back.
I was having issues with my car shifting bad and took it to a local transmission shop and they told me it needed to be rebuilt for $2400. I decided to get a second oppinion to make sure so I took it to aamco and they guys there checked it out and turned out I just had a bad switch on the transmission. It only cost $220 to repair and it drove like new. I highly recomend them becuase they will only tell you what you really need to get you rolling again.
I totally recommend this particular location for both its service and people. My brake lights had gone out and they fixed them and sent me on my way in about 30 minutes. Plus, they didn't hate on my beat-up Escort, something I've had to deal with at other shops. Go see these guys!
I've taken my car to AAMCO on So. Lamar, run by James Nixon, for a couple of years. He's beat the dealer prices on everything I needed done. Another shop said I needed new "ball joints", but when he looked at them, he said they were fine. That's several hundred dollars in my pocket. I find him to be honest and straightforward. His explanations are always clear. What a pleasure to find an auto mechanic I can trust. He's my go-to-shop!
Took my 2011 nissan 370z in due to a scrapping sound coming from underneath. After a few discussions with several knowlegable friends I assumed the worse and thought it could be a flex plate in my transmission. Even though I have a warranty to cover it the thought of the hassle, renting a car, time and effort to have it fixed kinda bummed me out. Took it in Monday morning and met Kevin Kearney the Service manager, a real stand up guy! He called me the next day and informed me tjhe scrapping noise was due to my heat shield occasionally scrapping my drive shaft and that if would be an easy fix costing $109.00. So instead of costing 2 to 3 thousand dollars which could have been covered by my warranty, AAMCO did the right and honest thing. I had my car back that same day. John Wayne couldn't have been more proud. Kudo's to Kevin and AAMCO! Bobby.

Went in for an oil change and they proactively uncovered and fixed an issue with my brakes that would have rendered them useless. James and friendly and knowledgeable staff had me in and out in no time.
James was awesome. I've done so many fixes on my 03 F250 that I was paranoid my transmission was slipping. I dropped it off ready to pay out the wazoo and James assured me I was just experiencing some normal slack in the drive train...no slipping transmission. He had me come pick it up and wished me luck at no charge!

John and his guys at Aamco took great care of me and my car! Their team is efficient and professional. A specialty hose on my jaguar needed replacing. They got the job done in a timely fashion, and the quote came in under what my old trusted car place had given me.

My friend pulled into this Aamco on Friday September 25 with an issue with her windshield wiper. Josh immediately came up to our window and asked us what was the problem. He looked at our broken windshield wiper and within 10 minutes repaired it for us. He was very helpful, kind, gracious, and knowledgeable.
I had a great experience here. When I called to ask a question about coming in the guy I spoke with had a very jolly demeanor, and was very helpful. I had called another place just before that with the same question and the guy I spoke with wasn't nearly as friendly or thorough. That's why I chose to go to Aamco on S Lamar. They got me in and out in about 30 minutes for an oil change and I felt very well taken care of!
Our moving company, Jackalope Moving, has used James and the Aamco team a few times in the last couple years and they are the best! Prices are always fair, timing is always right, and the customer service is impeccable. Working with them is always a pleasure and we highly recommend this location!
